We strive to integrate our hotel operations into the life of the local community and society of our unique island and find it a highly rewarding experience to give back to our exclusive and pristine environment. We work our hardest to ensure that the local economic and social impact of our establishment is managed positively and responsibly. Furthermore, we believe that this responsibility extends beyond our employees and our guests, and into the general community in which we operate.
Hotel Óðinsvé is a proud founding member of Festa, the Icelandic Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility. The project is a locally sourced initiative whereby companies connected to the tourism industry have agreed to uphold four clear and simple measures regarding environmental and social responsibility in Iceland. With our primary purpose being maintenance of our status as a future destination for holiday and adventure makers, by supporting sustainability for the future generations of the nation.
The four main tenets to Festa’s philosophy are:
to demonstrate exemplary behaviour and respect for nature.
to ensure the safety of our guests and treat them respectfully and courteously.
to respect the rights of our employees.and above all to have a positive impact on the local community.
At Hotel Óðinsvé, we are committed to providing our guests with exemplary service and hospitality par excellence. We want our guests to feel welcome, respected, and at ease in the place which we call home. That is why we have adopted these wise words on values in life and living from Nordic mythology: modernity, courtesy, common sense and above all, hospitality.
